Supporting Isaiah 117 House: Packing Bags for DSS & Lemonade Stand.

Updated: Mar 25

At Big Money Cares Foundation, we believe in standing alongside organizations that create lasting change in our community. That’s why we were honored to partner with Isaiah 117 House as our 2024 Charity Partner—a national nonprofit with a newly established Greenville location that is making a profound impact on children in foster care.

A Safe Haven for Children in Transition

When children are removed from their homes and placed into foster care, they often face overwhelming uncertainty. Traditionally, many of these children must wait in Department of Social Services (DSS) offices, often with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Isaiah 117 House changes that reality by providing a warm, home-like environment where children receive fresh clothing, cozy pajamas, nutritious meals, and compassionate care as they transition into foster placements.

Packing Bags for DSS: Bringing Comfort in Crisis

To support this mission, Big Money Cares Foundation organized a bag-packing initiative to supply DSS with essentials for children entering foster care. Each bag was filled with necessities like:

✔️ New pajamas and clothing

✔️ Toiletries and hygiene items

✔️ Comfort items such as stuffed animals and blankets

✔️ Snacks and small toys to help ease the transition

With every bag we packed, we hoped to offer a sense of comfort and dignity to children facing one of the most challenging moments of their lives.

Lemonade for a Cause: Sweet Support for Isaiah 117 House

In addition to our hands-on support, we also hosted a community lemonade stand at our office, inviting clients, friends, and neighbors to stop by for a refreshing drink while contributing to a great cause. Through donations and community engagement, this simple but heartfelt effort helped raise awareness and additional funds for the Greenville Isaiah 117 House.

A Year of Impact and a Bright Future Ahead

We are incredibly proud that our collective efforts helped Isaiah 117 House Greenville purchase land for their new home this year, bringing them one step closer to providing even more children with a safe, loving space during a critical time of transition.

At Big Money Cares Foundation, we know that small acts of kindness can lead to big change—and we are so grateful to everyone who joined us in supporting Isaiah 117 House.
